In previous entries, I talked a little bit about how various forms of social media could help a struggling business by spreading the word. The response I received was so great that I began to look at what I had said in order to find ways in which I could fine-tune the information. Those of you who have read the previous stuff will find this more supplementary than anything else but I encourage you to stick around. Never hurts to go for extra credit.

As we mentioned before, it really doesn’t matter who or what your business is. It doesn’t matter if you are Home Depot, Calvin Klein or even Alberta Energy – you need a website and you need to promote your actions. This includes providing headlines to your clientele on things like the latest product launches, sales events, humanitarian aid, etc. In a sense, there needs to be a certain level of transparency when you talk about your business on Twitter, MySpace or even Facebook. Transparency is what helps your clients feel like you are on their side. Just remember to set some boundaries and make sure you draw the line between transparency and career suicide. Don’t say too much, but don’t let your customers think, for even a second, that you are holding out on them.

We are experiencing a revolution, not only in marketing but also in how we communicate. The social media revolution is changing the way we primarily communicate with customers. With this new wave of consumers looking at our products, utilizing one common social media avenue, Twitter, can transform your business.

Considering the vast use of social media, one of the best way to get announcements to your customers is through Twitter. News feeds, press releases, and traditional advertising take money and time but Twitter is a free way to reach customers with important messages instantly, especially since most receive Twitter feeds directly to their cell phones.Want more? Click here/tag

Twitter is an excellent way to improve your business and products by receiving and responding to feedback. This is a great way to gather ideas to stay innovative as well as allow customers to provide raving reviews of your products.

Twitter can also be used to directly drive sales. Your websites purpose should be designed to gather leads in order to make sales and also be user friendly to fulfill online orders of your products. In this way, it stands to reason that increased traffic to your website will increase overall sales either directly or through lead generation. Use your Twitter feed to promote your website and therefore drive traffic to your site.

Businesses need social media marketing in order to do business in today’s market; the company has to know its customers, the market trends, and the latest buzz. An organization that does not know the heart beat of the consumer that it is trying to reach will not be able to survive past the start up or growth phase.

Consumers are not always honest about why they prefer one company over another, they sometimes tell the company what they think the company wants to hear or what they think the company needs to hear.Confused? Here ‘s a little help . It is a deathtrap to leave marketing research completely in the hands of the consumer. Social media marketing is a backdoor to what the consumer is really thinking.

Social media marketing allows the business to meet the customer in their home, their business, their shopping mall, or wherever the customer may be willing to engage the uses of social media platforms. The consumer will now be feeding data to the organization that needs it, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.

Social media marketing is crucial to riding the wave of lost consumer information that has long since eluded the markets clever techniques for gathering data.

Internet Marketing and Search Engine Optimization Companies would have people believe that search engine optimization is a difficult thing. That is a false claim. Sure, there are some niches that a single webmaster or small business cannot or should not tackle but who wants to write about acne and payday loans all day anyway.

The newest search algorithm change has made it easier than ever to DIY SEO. Content finally matters. If you are a better writer and researcher than marketer, you can finally succeed. Enough with the cheerleading let’s get into just how you can do your own search engine optimization without paying a fortune in consultation fees.

Content is not just information, although that is important. It also includes URLS, titles and headers. A descriptive and short URL, catchy and unique titles and proper use of H2 and H3 tags makes content stand out to the search engines.

Authority link acquisition is the bane of most webmasters. Great links with proper anchor text from relevant sites leads to high search engine rankings. Relevant sites are websites that have a commonality with your own. A tennis shoe site and a shoestring site are relevant to each other. Find your version of a shoestring website and get friendly with the website owner.
